1. About us
Drains Cleared Ltd ("Drains Cleared") operates a network of vetted drainage and plumbing engineers across the UK. We act as an intermediary between customers and engineers; the direct contract for work is between you and the attending engineer.
2. Our service
When you contact us, we identify the nearest available vetted engineer for your job and connect you. We do not directly employ the engineers who attend your property — they are independent subcontractors who have agreed to our standards, pricing model and guarantee terms.
3. Quotes and pricing
All prices quoted are fixed prices for the scope of work described at the time of quotation. If the scope changes materially after the engineer begins work (for example, if a survey reveals a larger structural fault), the engineer will pause and re-quote before continuing. You are not obliged to accept a revised quote.
4. Work guarantee
All completed jobs are covered by a written guarantee. The guarantee period and terms are confirmed in the completion report issued after each job. If the same fault recurs within the guarantee period, we will arrange for an engineer to return at no additional charge.
The guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, subsequent modification of the drainage or plumbing system, or pre-existing conditions not identified in the original job scope.
5. Cancellations
You may cancel a booking without charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations within 2 hours of the appointment, or after the engineer has departed for your property, may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the call-out charge.
6. Liability
Our liability to you in connection with any job is limited to the cost of the job itself. We are not liable for consequential losses, including loss of earnings, damage caused by a fault that existed before the job, or damage caused by events outside the engineer's control.
All attending engineers carry public liability insurance. Details are available on request.
7. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with the work or service, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the job completion. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
