Pricing questions

Do you charge a call-out fee?
There is a standard call-out charge that covers the engineer's attendance and the first assessment. This is quoted when you book. We do not add the call-out fee on top of the job cost — it is included in the fixed quote.
How is the final price calculated?
Your engineer assesses the job and provides a fixed quote before starting work. You do not pay more than the agreed quote. The only exception is if the scope changes materially after the engineer opens up the work — in which case they will pause and re-quote before continuing.
Is VAT included in your prices?
All prices quoted by our engineers include VAT at the standard rate. There are no VAT surprises on the invoice.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer reduced rates on planned maintenance contracts for landlords and commercial customers. We do not offer ad-hoc discounts, as our fixed-price model means the quoted price is already the best price we can offer for that job.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our engineers accept card payment (credit and debit) on site via their card reader. Bank transfer is also available for commercial accounts. We do not accept cash for most jobs.
What if the engineer can't fix the problem?
If the engineer cannot complete the job (for example, if a specialist piece of equipment or an additional trade is needed), you pay only for the work actually done up to that point, not the full quoted price.
